Memories

Robert surprises Erica at 12 am on her birthday.

Josh takes Erica to his house for a birthday sleepover where he gives her lots of presents, including an album of photos he had taken himself.

Dori visits Bart and tells him to behave himself at Erica's birthday party.

Cokie returns from London and immediately calls Sam, inviting him over to her house.

Logan picks Stacey up to walk to Erica's together for the party and gives her a candle and a bracelet as a thank you gift, then asks her if she would go to his first football game of the season and dinner beforehand for support. When he walks her home, they end up singing and dancing in the middle of Elm Street.

At Erica's party, Bart makes a move on Erica, prompting her to slap him when he tries to kiss her. Later, after a confrontation with Josh, Bart finds out that Robert's little sister Patti is at the party, and hooks up with her.

Abby and Jessi visit Mallory as she leaves for Riverbend.

Alan and Abby hang out and go to the labor day carnival.

Robert confronts Patti about her upcoming date with Bart, telling her what happened at the party. Patti tells him that she will tell their parents that he sneaks out of the house every night if he says anything to them about it.

Cokie has dinner at Sam's house and bonds with Kristy over her photos of London.

Stacey and Logan go to the movies together, Stacey's mom points out how much time she is spending with Logan lately. Both Stacey and Logan open up to each other about their problems with their parents.

Erica and Robert go on their first formal date with each other.

Alan announces that his mom is expecting a baby in March.

Toby shows up in Stoneybrook to visit Abby and spends the day with her, ending with them sleeping together at her house.

Sam continues the prank war with Anna, with some help from Karen and David Michael, by having David Michael pretend to run over Anna's violin with the lawn mower.

Bart reveals to Dori that he's only interested in Patti because she is Robert's sister, and that he has a date with Dawn.

On the first day of school, Bart tries to hit on Stacey in drama class, who finds him amusing but resists the flirting.

At lunch, Logan, Stacey, Robert, Erica, and Josh sit together. Logan barely takes his eyes off of Stacey or talks to anyone else, which confirms the crush for Robert and makes Josh and Erica start to notice something is going on, Erica lets Logan know that she knows.

Stacey finds out that Austin is in her chemistry class, Logan offers to switch seats with her so that he is between her and Austin.

Kristy uncomfortably arrives in her English class and ends up sitting next to Cokie, finding that it will be nice having her in class.

Bart takes Dawn on a date after school to go sailing on his boat and out to dinner and falls for her, but later emails her and she doesn't seem to return the interest.

Robert and Erica make plans to tutor each other in English and chemistry.

Stacey runs into Sam at Taco Bell and stays to eat with him, both pleased to be having a pleasant conversation with each other.

Logan continues his obsession with Stacey at lunch, which starts to worry Robert, while Josh thinks they would make a cute couple.

Corinne Baker runs into Robert and Erica after school, hitting on Robert right in front of Erica, and calling Erica "Erin". Erica later asks Stacey about Corinne and finds that Corinne has been like that ever since Stacey and Robert dated.

Dori, Erica, and Gordon watch Project Runway at Stacey's, Gordon tells Dori that he knows she's gay, but promises not to let anyone know.

Trevor and Bart get paired up for an assignment in French, and Trevor is surprised to have a productive conversation with him, mostly due to Trevor lying about hooking up with three British girls on his trip to London.

Dori gets paired with Abby for a debate in class and starts to develop a friendship on her while still continuing her secret crush on her.

Robert receives an email from Bart saying that he is done with Patti and tells him that he wasn't interested in her anyway.

Stacey, Josh, Robert, and Erica go to the first home game to cheer on Logan. Stacey visits Logan at halftime, and between that and their dinner before the game, Logan feels that Stacey is returning the same feelings. He rambles about this later on the camping trip with Josh and Robert, and tells them that he plans to ask Stacey out on Monday.

Sam takes Cokie to the cabin at Shadow Lake for the weekend and mentions his dinner with Stacey, prompting a fight. Later, Cokie finds a picture of the two of them together and realizes that they were dating on the trip to the cabin. Cokie brings up that she knows about the emails Sam sent to Stacey, and they break up.

While in New York, Stacey runs into Ethan, who takes her out for breakfast. They agree to go out again when she's in the city.

Logan writes Stacey a letter telling her his feelings, which he plans to give to her on Monday in school.

Erica helps Josh prepare for his date and he talks to her about how nervous he is over his first date with a guy. After the date, he goes to Erica's and watches Titanic with her and Robert and tells them that the date went well but it won't continue into a relationship.

Sam calls Stacey and tells her about the break up, Stacey lets him know that she did tell Cokie about the emails, but he isn't mad at her for it.

Pete and Cary get together to complain about women and end up getting drunk on cooking sherry, winding up at Shannon's house and singing to her, thinking they were at Anna's.

Stacey arrives in chemistry class on Monday and tells her friends about meeting up with Ethan. Logan grows immediately distant and doesn't give her the note. He later exchanges emails with Robert, and calls Josh and Erica.

Cokie discusses her break up with Kristy and when Cary overhears, he shows Cokie the threatening email he received from Sam back before prom.

Sam runs into Abby when he goes home to visit and ends up sitting at their house, complaining to her and Anna, and is in a much better mood by the time he leaves.

Alan and Bart both get nominated to run for student council president.

Robert gives Patti her birthday present and they make up.

Shannon and Tiffany talk and complain about their dad.

Trevor gets a job as a seater at Chez Maurice, Anna is happy to have someone to talk to at work.

Erica emails Robert and Josh, inviting them and their parents to dinner at her house to discuss the trip to Vermont.

Growing both upset and angry over Logan's attitude ever since she returned from New York, Stacey calls Logan to find out what she did wrong. Logan ends up driving over to her house, still on the phone with her, and kisses her on the front porch. They kiss two more times, but Stacey tells him that she isn't ready for a relationship, and surprises herself by both returning the kisses and telling him "not yet" rather than "no".

Trevor and Ashley are paired together in French, and after ignoring each other and arguing a little, they make some small talk and are pleasant around each other.

Logan tells Erica and Robert at lunch the next day about kissing Stacey. Stacey later passes notes to Robert about it in class, expressing her confusion over the situation.

Dori talks to Bart about the student council elections, warning him that Alan is very popular and has a big shot at winning.

Cokie asks Stacey about the emails, Stacey tells her the truth and that she has no plans to get back together with Sam.

Erica gets a note from Corinne telling her that all Robert and Stacey do in government class is pass notes and flirt with each other.

Erica takes Robert on a surprise date for their two month anniversary.

Emily and Anna go to Boston together to visit Harvard and two conservatories.

Josh goes to the mall with his sister, who is home for the weekend, and they run into Sam, who Allie dated in high school. Sam asks her out for dessert the following night.

Stacey goes to an away football game to see Logan, and after an uncomfortable moment at dinner afterward, they agree to accept each other's feelings and continue their friendship.

Shannon hangs out with her SDS friends and they talk about school and complain about Bart.

Kristy and Shannon go to a Yale football game together and decide they need to hang out more often.

Sam and Alan hang out at Sam's dorm and Sam talks about his date with Allie and how great she is.

Stacey goes over to Robert's to help him bathe the dogs, which results in a water fight. They later go out to dinner and she talks to him a little more about the Logan situation.

Josh visits Erica and keeps avoiding the subject each time she brings up college, which she confronts him about. He hangs out with Gordon the next day and realizes he's doing the same thing, then calls Erica to apologize. He forces himself to discuss college with her and not freak out so much about all his friends leaving in a year.

Trevor and Dori, while working on a class project, discuss their problems with their divorced parents pressuring them on where to go to college.

Corinne talks to Erica again while at an ultimate Frisbee game, telling her more about Stacey and Robert's flirting in class. Erica begins to grow upset about this and thinks something might be going on, judging by what she knows of Stacey. She discusses her feelings with Robert, who reassures her that nothing is going on.

Logan finds out that, despite his suspension and benching, he is going to be the first string quarterback. He calls Stacey to tell her the good news and ends up taking her out to Chez Maurice to celebrate.

Bart posts on the message boards hitting on Tiffany. Shannon then retaliates by posting that he got kicked out of SDS for pranking the headmaster. She later goes over to Bart's to yell at him, and ends up sleeping with him instead.

Tiffany overhears Shannon telling Anna about sleeping with Bart, and posts a hateful message about Shannon on the boards. Josh sees the message and goes to visit Tiffany to cheer her up.

Sam visits Anna and Abby and gives them presents, a soccer keychain for Abby and a flamingo keychain for Anna.

Dori begins going to Abby's volleyball games.

Cokie overhears Josh and Erica talking about Sam dating Josh's sister and asks him about it.

Robert confronts Corinne and tells her to leave him, Erica, and Stacey alone.

Feeling upset about the Corinne situation, Stacey visits Erica and explains her and Robert, then invites Erica to New York to go shopping for homecoming, and to see Mary Poppins in November.

Bart talks to Shannon, feeling guilty about their sleeping together. She apologizes for telling everyone about him getting kicked out of school.

Robert has another bad day and calls Erica, who skips school and spends the day with him. Stacey joins them after school, worried about Robert but glad he also has Erica.

Dori and Cokie both audition for the fall play, "Emma". Cokie gets the part of Emma and Dori gets the part of Harriett.

Sam sends four SU freshman to SHS to deliver a plate of kung pao chicken and sweet and sour chicken to Anna at lunch, declaring that the prank war is still on.

Cokie flirts with Logan after school one day, trying to move on from Sam.

At a football game, during a discussion about Logan's parents, Josh avoids the subject and says that he will leave if the Brunos come over to them. The next night, at Josh's house, Erica expresses her worry over how Josh tends to avoid problem situations rather than confronting them.

Erica and Robert discuss college plans and Robert explains recruiting season to her. He ends up deciding that his top three college choices are University of Connecticut, Central Connecticut State University, and Missouri State University.

Laine moves back home.

Erica goes to the pet store with Robert to pick out a dog, and gets a beagle puppy who she names Lola.

Stacey talks to Robert after returning from a weekend in New York, letting him know that she does actually like Logan, but isn't ready for a relationship and is hoping that he will move past his interest in her.

Cary and Stacey get paired together in drama class for a scene, where they end up arguing and acting very cold to each other.

At lunch one day, Erica asks Stacey if they will meet up with Ethan when they go to New York, which reveals to Logan that she is still seeing him. Stacey and Logan later argue about it on the phone but make up rather quickly, though Logan isn't quite as ok with the situation as he lets on to Stacey.

Kristy and Erica work together on debate team several times and go back and forth between clashing and getting along.

Trevor and Erica start talking about planning a college fair at school together.

Sam and Kristy hang out, Sam tells her that he and Allie spent a weekend together and had a great time, but have agreed to stay friends.

Josh takes pictures at football practice for yearbook and continues to egg on Bart.

Sam and Stacey have dinner together, where she tells him about her and Logan. He gets angry at her for it but they get past it.

Abby and Alan work on his presidential campaign but Alan doesn't see much need in working too hard, since he knows he will win.

Sam invites Anna for dinner at his house and the two start to think they have feelings for each other.

Josh tells Erica that he wants to be yearbook editor his senior year, but worries that Joanna Freid, his former friend, will get the position instead.

Stacey goes to another away game of Logan's, where he mentions that he has a few ideas in mind on who to take to homecoming, leading Stacey to believe he is moving on.

Erica and Stacey go shopping together and buy dresses for homecoming, then have dinner with Ethan. Erica later tells Robert that Stacey doesn't look at Ethan the same way she looks at Logan.

Logan visits Mary Anne and gives her a birthday present.

Dori receives an email from her camp girlfriend, while Bart is at her house, saying that she is coming to Connecticut and wants to visit. Dori ends up breaking down and telling Bart that she is gay, to which Bart is cool about and promises to keep it a secret.

Stacey and Sam continue to argue.

Sam moves on from Stacey and puts all of his affections toward Cokie.

Cary and Stacey mislead their friends, letting them believe that they are dating.

Cary kidnaps Mary Anne and takes her to American Idol auditions in Hollywood. Alan, Pete and Abby come with them.

Jessi and Quint meet up in NYC.

Sunny runs into Keith, her dad's girlfriend's son, at the beach.

Kristy announces that she got a laptop.

Cokie gets cast as Sonia in Godspell.

Mallory, feeling alienated by her friends, calls the Riverbend headmaster and convinces them to let her come back for the next school year.

Abby and Cary break up because Abby doesn't have time for a relationship.

Kristy and Bart finally end their relationship when she catches him "cheating" on her.

Kristy and Cary flirt on the message board when Mallory announces her return to Riverbend.

Laine's constant presence drives Stacey batty.

Shannon's parents announce that they are getting a divorce.

Cary and Alan get together to make mayonnaise Milk Duds and talk about girls.

Dawn suggests that the BSC come to California for spring break.

Kristy and Logan go out to talk and end up making out. Logan wants a relationship; Kristy is confused.

At Sam's request, Kristy, Sam and Cokie get together for a movie and dinner. Cokie and Kristy call a truce.

The girls have a "pity party" at Abby's, involving drinking, the Princess Diaries and a little girl-girl kissing. Claudia reveals that she and Alan slept together the summer before 11th grade.

Jessi writes in her journal that her cousin and his wife are watching her very closely, and states that she and Mallory haven't spoken since their February fight.

Cary announces that he has bought a van and is driving to California for spring break. He invites two of the girls to join them, giving them a cover of entering a decathlon.

Anna asks if she can join the van group, which Cary approved of. Kristy accidentally invites herself on the road trip, giving Cary a lot of anxiety.

Mallory writes that the only person she feels close to is Mary Anne.

Abby begins to realize that she still has feelings for Cary. Cary begins to suspect that Kristy has feelings for him.

Kristy and Logan get together again before the road trip and start officially dating.

Cary, Abby, Kristy, Logan, Stacey, Pete, Alan and Anna leave for California. They camp at a site in Illinois, but Abby's tent malfunctions and everyone crashes in Cary's tent, except for Logan and Kristy. Others begin to suspect they are in a relationship.

The next day, Cary kicks Logan out of the van for leading on Mary Anne. Kristy follows him. They buy train tickets to California from Chicago.

Abby and Stacey cut Pete's hair in the van.

Mary Anne finds out about Logan and Kristy. The girls have a loud fight in Dawn's house the first night.
